Go to Replicate.com.
Sign in with GitHub: Replicate uses GitHub for authentication. If you don’t have a GitHub account, you will need to create one first.
Authorize Replicate to access your basic GitHub profile information.
Click on your Profile Icon in the top-right corner.
Select Billing (or go directly to replicate.com/account/billing).
Click the Add Credit button.
Enter your payment details (Credit Card/Stripe).
Select or enter $10 as your purchase amount.
Note: Credits are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
(Optional) Toggle Auto Reload if you want the system to automatically add more funds when your balance drops below a certain threshold (e.g., $5).
Click your Profile Icon again and select API Tokens.
You will see a default token already created for you. It typically starts with r8_.
Click the Copy icon next to the token to save it to your clipboard.
Important: Treat this key like a password. Do not share it or commit it to public GitHub repositories.
For Magnific and Google Nano Banana Pro/2.0 (Gemini) Models, you will need to follow a similar process to get an API Key.
-
Navigate to the Freepik API Landing Page.
Click on "Get free API key" or "Sign up."
Authentication: You can sign up using Google, Facebook, or your email.
Note: If you already have a standard Freepik account for stock photos, you can use those same credentials to log into the Developer Dashboard.
Freepik currently offers a "Free Tier" to help developers prototype without immediate cost.
Once logged in, go to your Developer Dashboard.
Upon registration, Freepik typically grants a $5 (or €5) free credit automatically.
This credit allows you to test various models (like Magnific Creative and Magnific Precision) before you need to add your own funds.
Freepik API billing is separate from their "Premium" website subscription. It operates on a monthly billing cycle based on usage.
Go to the Billing section in your dashboard.
Add a Payment Method: Enter your credit card details.
Set a Monthly Budget: To keep your spending at exactly $10, look for the "Monthly Budget" or "Spending Limit" field.
Enter $10 and save. The service will automatically pause if your usage hits this cap, ensuring you aren't overcharged.
Note: Unlike Replicate's "top-up" system, Freepik generally bills you at the end of the month for what you actually used, up to your defined limit.
Generate and Copy Your API Key
Navigate to the API Keys tab in the dashboard.
Click "Create new API key."
Give your key a name (e.g., "My Project") and click Save.
Copy the key immediately. For security reasons, Freepik may not show the full key again once you leave the page.
-
During periods of high demand, Replicate generations can fail. We recommend adding Google Gemini API Key as an alternative for popular Gemini models like Nano Banana Pro/2.0 and Gemini 3.0.
Sign In: Go to aistudio.google.com and sign in with your Google Account. Accept Terms: If it's your first time, you'll need to review and accept the Generative AI Terms of Service.
Navigate to API Keys: Click on the "Get API key" button in the top left sidebar.
Create Key: * Click "Create API key in new project" (this automatically sets up a Google Cloud project for you in the background).
Alternatively, if you have an existing GCP project, click "Create API key in existing project" and select it from the list.
Copy and Secure: Once the key is generated, copy it immediately.
Note: For security, the full key is only shown once.

Chorus is a plugin that works directly in Photoshop. It docks in a palette, similar to how the Layers/Channels palette works.
The Chorus palette provides a convenient Dropdown Menu to access leading AI models like:
- Gemini 3.1 (Image-to-text),
- Bria 2.0 (masking and background removal)
- Flux 2.0, Nano Banana 2.0/Pro (for Generation and Editing)
- Magnific Creative/Precision (Upscaling and Enhancing)
Generally, the AI workflow from Photoshop involves:
1. export the image,
2. log into AI provider website,
3. upload the image,
4. run the AI generation,
5. download the AI result,
6. import back into PS,
7. place the AI result and then mask to integrate
Chorus allows you to do all this without leaving PS.
The workflow would look more like:
1. Make a selection or export the entire image
2. choose an AI model, prompt and generate
3. AI result is imported and placed as a Smart Object. Mask to integrate -
Getting started is simple. Download the Chorus installation file, register for a free 14-day trial, enter the API keys of your choice and you’re good to go.

Image generations are executed by cloud providers, like Google, Replicate and Freepik, via API calls. Registering for an API Key is straightforward and can be done in minutes. Once you create an API Key, enter it into the Settings panel and you are set.
You only sign up for the services you need and the accounts are usually Pay-As-You-Go, so you only pay for what you use (eg Nano Banana 2.0 at 4K is AUD $0.18).
Unlike Adobe Generative Fill, Chorus has a Usage Counter to help you keep track of Total Spend.

Yes, Chorus does not need a powerful PC or GPU. As long as you can run Photoshop, you should be able to run Chorus. Image generations are executed using Cloud Providers and then downloaded back into Photoshop.
